Addison County Economic Development Corporation (ACEDC) is the resource for navigating challenges and opportunities of doing business in Addison County.

Our dedicated team works with many types of businesses, from value-added agriculture to manufacturing and service companies. We also work with businesses in all stages of growth, from pre-venture start-ups to established businesses and global corporations.

Our primary objective is to create and retain a flourishing business community that supports vibrant fiscal activity and improves the quality of life of all residents. ACEDC is your connector to the resources and solutions your business needs to thrive.

Most of our work is done in collaboration with other people and organizations. Much of what we do centers on facilitation and coordination, providing access to the numerous State and Federal programs that are available to businesses. For example, entrepreneurs starting a new business may be referred to a confidential business advisor from the Small Business Development Center (we have someone from VtSBDC in our office) or a business looking to finance equipment may take advantage of our revolving loan fund. We may help another company by writing a grant, posting job opportunities, or listing available commercial real estate.

Bristol Baker Kevin Harper
As Bristol Bakery Wholesale has expanded, the business has needed to purchase additional equipment in order to keep up with demand. With the help of a $15,000 BGS grant through the ACEDC, Bristol Bakery Wholesale was able to purchase a pouch-filling machine, which helps them package products at a faster rate.
