Village Trust Initiative (VTI)

The Preservation Trust of Vermont and The Vermont Community Foundation are pleased to announce the second round of Village Trust Initiative (VTI) applications are open with a deadline of September 5th! 

This opportunity provides technical and financial assistance to selected communities to create or foster a local community trust organization and take on a large-scale revitalization project. Past recipients focused on general stores and adaptive reuse of school buildings. Groups must be located in towns with populations under 2,500 to be eligible. Seven communities were selected for the program last year and we can't wait to hear the hopes and plans for revitalization from more communities with this next round.
