Efficiency Vermont highlights partnership with RDCs to help local business

Efficiency Vermont, Vermont's statewide energy efficiency utility, works with partners throughout the state to save customers money, strengthen the economy, and lower carbon emissions. They offer individuals and businesses access to rebates, workforce development, financing options, technical advice, and energy efficiency products. Their work helps Vermonters lower energy costs, help the environment, and be more resilient.

ACEDC and other RDCs (regional development corporations) partner with Efficiency Vermont to offer incentive programs to help install money-saving efficiency upgrades. Wooden Hammer owner Ben Rafael worked with ACEDC and Efficiency Vermont to switch from propane heat to an air-to-water heat pump system in his workshop.

“Efficiency Vermont’s staff was really helpful and the program was astonishingly easy,” he said. “The application was simple. Once awarded, it was just a very straightforward process of getting the money.”

You can read more of Ben's story, and about how ACEDC works with Efficiency Vermont to facilitate their business programs, in Efficiency Vermont's blog post, "Statewide partnership with RDCs is a big win for local business."
