Senator Peter Welch has opened his web portal to accept FY26 Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) requests from state and local government entities and non-profit organizations based in Vermont.

Organizations are encouraged to submit their requests early to accommodate corrections that need to be made or questions that need to be answered before the deadline. All forms must be completed and submitted by Friday, March 28, 2025, at 5:00 PM ET.

Representative Becca Balint's office is asking that you fill out this form by the end of the day March 12th if you are interested in applying for the FY2026 Community Project Funding (CPF) funds, and to get more information about the application process should it become available. CPF is an appropriations process designed to provide direct federal investment in a range of projects in a Congressional district.

The FY26 process for CPF has not been finalized by House leadership. At this point it is not known what the specific guidelines will be, what types of projects will be eligible, or how quickly the process will open and close. If this funding source does become available, the guidelines could be similar to last year. You can look over the FY2025 guidance to see if your project would fit the requirements for one of last year's eligible accounts.
