Vermont Adult Learning is Vermont's largest provider of Adult Education and Literacy services, including essential skill building, an Adult Diploma Program, GED tutoring and testing, English language and civics instruction for multilingual learners, and job readiness/workforce development programs. Our services are free for Vermont residents sixteen years and older, and there’s no upper age limit to enroll with us.

Our Addison County Learning Center in Middlebury is conveniently located within the Historic Marble Works District. Our learners love us because we provide personalized, supportive instruction that is responsive to the needs of adults juggling multiple priorities, offering flexible pacing, schedules, and both in-person and online classes. Our community loves us because we help equip our neighbors with the confidence and skills necessary to engage more fully in their families and communities, as well as meet local workforce needs and attain economic stability.
