Elise Shanbacker

Elise Shanbacker has served as Executive Director of Addison Housing Works since 2015, leading efforts to expand access to affordable housing across Addison County. Prior to this role, she was a Senior Policy Analyst at the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices, focusing on workforce and economic development. Elise serves on the Board of Directors of the Vermont Community Development Association and the Vergennes Partnership. She graduated from Middlebury College and holds a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
