Vermont Bucket List: Middlebury's Tasting Trail

Following the five-mile Middlebury Tasting Trail through the Green Mountains to seven producers of wine, beer, cider, and spirits

• First runner up: Visiting the Ben & Jerry’s factory in Waterbury for a behind-the-scenes tour and lots of samples
• Second runner up: Checking out the more than 100 covered bridges in the state—the densest concentration of covered bridges anywhere in the US

Getting there: Burlington International Airport (BTV) is about an hour from the Middlebury Tasting Trail and only 30 minutes from Waterbury. You can also fly into Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, about two hours away.
