Multy Builders Construction Company, LLC is a rapidly growing, Addison County Vermont-based, full-service construction company. The company seeks to expand its workforce with qualified individuals in the following positions:
WE PAY WELL FOR PERFORMANCE! Starting pay will be commensurate with experience. Standard work week is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities to work Saturdays as well. Overtime hours approved as necessary. Paid holidays and compensated personal time off and other benefits offered.
These are labor-intensive positions. The ability to lift heavy objects, handle power tools, walk and stand for extended periods, and withstand physical stress is required. Applicants must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and may be subject to a routine drug screen as a prerequisite of employment.

Master Carpenter
$28 - $40/hr. + Benefits
We are actively seeking an experienced Master Carpenter (MC) to join our team. The MC leads the building crew of carpenters, carpenters’ helpers, and specialized subcontractors. The MC is responsible for all aspects of the build. You will collaborate with the project manager and building team to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and laminate. Structures include building frameworks, partitions, door and window frames, wooden stairways, rafters, and flooring. You must know how to read and interpret blueprints, work with raw and finish materials, and have a good working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment. Many of our projects run into extended hours and weekends, so a flexible schedule is expected of the MC.
Master Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities:
Project leader and crew supervisor
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project intent and specifications
Communicate direction, assignments and instructions to your building team
Manage the team and lead in the construction of the project
Serve as the face of the Company to our Customer, and as the liaison between Customer and Company. You are the responsible point of contact for your assigned projects
Perform continuous quality inspections and hold high quality standards
Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines
Master Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Master Tradesman schooling preferred
10+ years of professional carpentry experience
Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
Proficient in using all tools relevant to building projects
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Have physical stamina, dexterity, and maintain required physical fitness to perform the job

Carpenter
Full-Time | $25 - $35/hr. + Benefits
We are actively seeking highly skilled Carpenters to join our team. You will collaborate with the Master Carpenter and other members of the building team to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and laminate. Structures include building frameworks, partitions, door and window frames, wooden stairways, rafters, and flooring. You must know how to read and interpret blueprints, work with raw and finish materials, and have a good working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment. Many of our projects will require extended hours and weekends, so a flexible schedule is expected.
Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications
Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project
Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements
Build window frames, doors, staircases, brattices, frame buildings, and other structures by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
Install hardwood floors, siding, cabinets, drywall, and insulation
Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines
Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a carpentry program at a vocational school or carpentry apprenticeship preferred
2+ years of professional carpentry experience
Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Have physical stamina, dexterity, and maintain required physical fitness to perform the job

Carpenter’s Helper/Apprentice
Full-time | $20 - $25/hr. + Benefits
We are actively seeking high-energy Carpenter’s Helpers to join our team. You will collaborate with other Carpenters on your assigned project to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and laminate. Structures include building frameworks, partitions, door and window frames, wooden stairways, rafters, and flooring. Candidates should have a good working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment. Many of our projects will require extended hours and weekends, so a flexible schedule is expected.
Carpenter's Helper Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve on a team of builders as an able-bodied assistant
Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma as well as one to two years of both construction and carpentry experience.
You must be able to follow directions, have a basic understanding of framing, siding, and trim installation
Maintain a positive and willing attitude as you work with your team
Valid driver’s license is preferred
You may be asked to pass a drug test and background check.
Flexible schedule: Many projects may require you to help after hours and/or on weekends
Physical requirements include being able to bend, climb, and lift at least 50 pounds throughout your shift.
