Vermont’s Declaration of Inclusion: Why it Matters & What it Means for Your Organization
As a part of VBSR’s Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) Learning Community Series, please join VBSR and state leaders as we prepare for Vermont’s Inclusion Week, annually the second week of May and this year May 8-14. We’ll hear about the movement that has towns and businesses across the state adopting their own Declaration of Inclusion, which condemns racism and welcomes all, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, age or disability.
Business and community leaders will walk us through the history and origin of the Declaration of Inclusion, the process of adopting a Declaration of Inclusion, and how and why your organization or town should adopt one. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to take action to spread the message to all visitors, residents, and those thinking about moving to Vermont, that our towns and businesses welcome all people to bring their families and friends, as well as their talents and skills.
