ReSOURCE Weatherization 101 Training Program in Middlebury starting July 1

ReSOURCE, the Vermont non-profit in Burlington, Williston, Barre and Hyde Park, is bringing its hands-on, Weatherization 101 training to Middlebury! The goal of this program is to provide trained Vermont labor for the weatherization and construction industries.

Consider partnering with ReSOURCE: As a ReSOURCE Employer-Partner, you can “try before you buy” a potential new employee AND help local, Vermont talent enter the weatherization and construction fields.

How does it work?

  • ReSOURCE provides four weeks of hands-on, construction tool-use and weatherization training to work-ready, pre-screened adults ages 18+.
  • Trainees receive OSHA-10 certification, hand- and power-tool training,  weatherization and building science concepts, and hands-on experience building, spraying foam, caulking, blowing insulation.
  • Trainees participate in ReSOURCE’s Personal and Professional Development curriculum focusing on soft skills important for effective workplace success.
  • Qualified trainees earn 1-2 weeks of work-experience with interested employers.

What’s in it for me?

  • Opportunity to “try before you buy!” a potential new employee. One-week, unpaid work-experiences provide employers the opportunity to see potential employees in action BEFORE bringing them on payroll.
  • Workers-comp & general liability insurance is covered by ReSOURCE during work experiences. No financial outlay by employers!
  • Up to six months, free, post-placement support & assistance provided by ReSOURCE, helps new hires stay successful and reliable on the jobsite!
  • Our Employer Panel provides the opportunity to meet and get first review of students. Join us on Monday, July 15, 2:00pm
