Dana Hanley

Dana Hanley is a community development professional. She is currently serving as the Project and Grant Manager for the Addison County Economic Development Corporation. For 14 years, she worked for the Town of Essex, VT as its Community Development Director. Her background also includes administering the state land use law, Act 250, for the Vermont Natural Resources Board in Addison and Chittenden counties. She also served as the Planning and Zoning Director for the Town of Shelburne, VT.

Dana is a past president of the Vermont Planners Association. She has also served on the Vermont Land Trust board and is currently on the board of the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission.

Dana was named the 2009 Outstanding Professional Planner by the Vermont Planners Association and the 2009 Professional Planner by the Northern New England Chapter of the American Planning Association.

Dana received a BA in Political Science from Bennington College and a MA in Government and Public Policy from Georgetown University. Her publications include: Site Planning and Development Review: a Guide for Northern New England, Robert M. Sanford, Phd. and Dana H. Farley, Putney Press, September 2004.

Dana has lived in Charlotte, VT for over 30 years and has two daughters.
