Addison County Economic Development Corporation can work with your business or group to seek grants under a variety of State and Federal programs. Programs are constantly changing and all have their own deadlines, so please contact the office if you have questions.
Examples of recent grants:
- Two separate grants to launch an Economic Gardening Pilot Program to provide customized technical assistance for up nine businesses (USDA Rural Development and the Agency of Commerce and Community Development)
- Technical assistance grant for a business to upgrade its website and work with a professional writer to update content and create product videos (Through the Agency of Commerce and Community Development)
- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for Eastview of Middlebury to fund the final piece of a larger loan package. This CDBG allowed Eastview to move forward with its project. (Through the State of Vermont Community Development Program)
- Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG) for the Town for Shoreham and a local Shoreham business to conduct a series of feasibility studies related to food processing, storage, and distribution (Through the USDA)
