We're now seeking candidates with strong leadership and team development skills to manage Vergennes Grand Senior Living, a start-up assisted living community in Vergennes, VT. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about making a difference. Vergennes Grand will repurpose and renovate the existing building on North Street in Vergennes. The building will serve as many as 84 residents when expansion and construction is complete. We will offer studio, 1 bedroom, and 2 bedroom apartments for independent or assisted living residents and will also offer private and semi-private accommodations in the memory care suite.

Responsibilities:
The position will serve as the Owner's Project Manager/Clerk of the Works during construction, and transition into the Executive Director as construction is completed. This will include monitoring the construction progress, preparing reports, reviewing draw requests, participation in construction meetings, and serving as the on-site Owner's representative. The Executive Director will also do the initial sales outreach and networking, recruiting and hiring all staff, and working closely with the owners to prepare the building for opening.

Qualifications:
Qualified applicants should possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, senior-level management experience, previous experience with construction management, a special knowledge of Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses, five years of experience in a similar operation and a strong working knowledge of all operational systems, i.e.; resident services and care, property maintenance, food services, purchasing, budgeting, basic accounting and financial management and be skilled in the use of technology. The ability to effectively direct staff and clearly communicate with families is vital and must be able to meet deadlines and report to the management company on all business activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
