Targeted Marketing Workshop Announced by VtSBDC & ACEDC

Three-hour marketing workshop will help small business owners identify key customers, differentiate from competitors, and create customized plans for no-cost marketing programs.

MIDDLEBURY VT, November 22, 2013 – Marketing expert Amy Mattinat will lead a three hour hands-on training to help small businesses stand out, surpass their competition, and create targeted marketing programs that bring in loyal and profitable customers.

Part of the “Strengthening Your Business” workshop series, the workshop is offered jointly by the Vermont Small Business Development Center (VtSBDC) and the Addison County Economic Development Corporation (ACEDC). The workshop cost is $49 and begins at 9:00am on Tuesday, December 10, at the Ilsley Public Library, 75 Main Street in Middlebury.

“If small businesses want to be successful they need to learn how to effectively market themselves,” says Mattinat, who owns a successful auto repair and service center in Montpelier, Vermont.

Attendees can expect to learn how to create a personalized blueprint that will help them:

  • identify their top quality customers and understand what they have in common
  • know what to do to make their business stand out from their competition
  • create systems for two different marketing programs that can be implemented immediately and at no cost

The “Strengthening Your Business” workshop series is an 8-session, monthly business training program developed by ACEDC and VtSBDC to help small businesses effectively address specific, critical areas such as Marketing, Cloud Computing, Networking for Introverts, Human Resources, and Advanced Social Media.

Presenter Amy Mattinat is the owner of Auto Craftsmen, an Independent Auto Repair Sales & Service Center in Montpelier. She manages her business, writes a monthly Car Care Newsletter, is the author of “How to Buy A Great Used Car" and teaches Women Car Care Clinic. She is also a dynamic speaker, marketing expert and co-author of the book “Whatever Happened to Outstanding Customer Service”. She is part of ‘The Women's Automotive Speakers Bureau’ which provides the automotive industry top women speakers and spokespersons on how to attract, sell, retain and increase loyalty with women customers and employees.
