Pathways to Promising VT Careers

Middlebury Five-0, a local public access program featured on Middlebury Community Television (MCTV), recently presented a show on the McClure Foundation's "Pathways to Promising Careers" initiative for VT's high paying, high demand jobs in the future.

Mathew Barewicz, an economist with the Vermont Department of Labor, and Carolyn Weir from the J. Warren & Lois McClure Foundation, spoke about this collaboration which resulted in the publication of an informational pamphlet highlighting jobs that pay well and are projected to have at least 100 new openings in Vermont over the next 10 years. Their message is one of economic hope for the State in that great career opportunities do exist here, along with the educational resources needed to take advantage of these opportunities.

The "Pathways to Promising Careers" brochure can be found here. Other valuable life-planning resources were also discussed during the program in the video here.
