Efficiency VT Wins 2018 Energy Star® Partner of the Year Award
Earning Sustained Excellence Award
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently named Efficiency Vermont as a recipient of the 2018 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award for continued leadership and superior contributions to ENERGY STAR. The accomplishments of Efficiency VT, a member of the Addison County Economic Development Corporation, will be recognized by the EPA and the U.S. Department of Energy at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. in April.
Efficiency VT programs have worked with the ENERGY STAR brand for 18 years providing customers with information and incentives to encourage them to purchase ENERGY STAR certified products such as appliances, electronics, LED lights, and other efficient products. ENERGY STAR provides consumers with assurance that the products meet high quality standards, while Efficiency VT incentives, discounts, information, and customer support make those products more affordable and accessible.
ENERGY STAR benchmarking tools also enable Efficiency VT to work with schools, hospitals, and the State of Vermont to strive towards ENERGY STAR ratings for buildings. Through benchmarking efforts, institutions have been able to gain a greater understanding of their energy use, and adopt shared energy efficiency goals within their sectors that motivate them and their peers to achieve higher levels of energy efficiency.
The 2018 Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Awards are bestowed upon companies and other organizations demonstrating continued leadership in energy efficiency and commitment to the ENERGY STAR program. Winners hail from small, family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 organizations – representing energy-efficient products, services, new homes, and buildings in the commercial, industrial, and public sectors.
Efficiency VT was created by the VT Legislature and is regulated by the VT Public Utility Commission to help all Vermonters reduce energy costs, strengthen the economy, and protect VT's environment. For more information, contact Efficiency VT at 888-921-5990 or visit www.efficiencyvermont.com.
