Cabot Coop Places 3rd in U.S. Championship Cheese Competition

A record-setting 2,303 cheese entries from 33 states were evaluated during the two-day 2017 United States Championship Cheese Contest competition recently held in Green Bay, Wisconsin. A team of 50 nationally-renowned judges hailing from 18 states considered each entry's flavor, body and texture, salt, color, finish, and packaging, and via an independent scoring system, determined the top three cheeses at the contest. The Middlebury Cheese Team from the Cabot Creamery Cooperative/Agri-Mark in Middlebury, a member of the Addison County Economic Development Corporation, placed third in the Mild Cheddar category.
