App Gap Financing Approved

A $537,500 building expansion project to accommodate the warehousing of inventory for Addison County Economic Development Corporation (ACEDC) member Appalachian Gap Distillery was recently approved. A distiller of whiskey, gin, rum & bourbon, App Gap’s business is growing and the company is in need of additional space to warehouse barrels for aging its inventory. Within three years of the expansion project, App Gap expects to create five new jobs. The building being expanded is owned by Redmond Properties and also houses the distillery owner’s other business, The Friday Group, a specifications consulting firm working directly with, and for, architectural firms. The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) is financing $100,000 towards the project along with fellow ACEDC member People’s United Bank and ACEDC. For more info, click here.
