Addison County Convenes Workforce Development Summit

It was a full house at the the first ever Addison County Workforce Development Stakeholder Summit at the Basin Harbor Resort in Vergennes. The event was hosted by the new Addison County Workforce Development Task Force (ACWDTF) which is convened by the Addison County Economic Development Corporation (ACEDC). The Task Force was formed by regional agencies and organizations to tackle issues impacting workforce development in Addison County. To learn more about the Task Force, click here.

The Summit convened 75 workforce development partners including employers, industry groups, business organizations, secondary & post-secondary career & technical education providers, private & public training providers, secondary education leaders & guidance counselors, higher education representatives, economic development practitioners, municipal officials, and regional elected officials.

Prior to the Summit, a survey of workforce stakeholders was taken. Click here to see the findings.
