ACEDC and ACRPC Partner to Produce a Regional Economic Development Strategy

ACEDC and the Addison County Regional Planning Commission (ACRPC) have joined forces to produce a regional economic development strategy (REDS). Members representing the Boards of both organizations will be led by ACEDC Executive Director Fred Kenney and ACRPC Executive Director Adam Lougee through a 12-18 month process to create the plan. The group will also receive input from regional experts in subject areas such as housing, transportation, and workforce development. Additionally, the group will enjoy the assistance this summer of Middlebury College students Allison Martin and Tanzim Ahmed, under the supervision of Professor of the Practice Amitava Biswas. Once the plan is drafted, there will be an opportunity for public input. Once finalized, the plan will be incorporated as an updated Economy Section of the ACRPC Regional Plan.
